Louis Dowdeswell

Louis Dowdeswell is an acclaimed trumpeter, bandleader, and educator whose career spans recording, touring, and education. A graduate of the Royal Academy of Music (ARAM), he performed lead trumpet on Michael Bublé’s Grammy Award-winning track Higher and has worked with Paul McCartney, Taylor Swift, Billie Eilish, Robbie Williams, and more. His playing features on films including James Bond – No Time To Die, Barbie, and Don’t Look Up. Founder of Louis’ Trumpet Academy and an International Conn Selmer / Vincent Bach Artist, Louis balances his international career with family life alongside his wife, opera singer Milly, and their two boys, Reggie and Stanley.

Caleb Hudson

Caleb Hudson, a Lexington, Kentucky native, blends virtuosity and sensitivity as a classical trumpeter. A Juilliard graduate, he spent over a decade with Canadian Brass, earning praise from The New York Times as “brilliantly stylish.” His debut solo album, Nothing Less, received the gold medal from the International Trumpet Guild Recording Awards. He has performed with the Philadelphia Orchestra and Orpheus Chamber Orchestra, and is currently Associate Professor of Trumpet at the University of Texas at Austin’s Butler School of Music. Rooted in a deep faith in Christ, Caleb resides in Texas with his wife, Amanda, and their four children.

For five nights, Nicewonder Farm & Vineyards becomes part of the World of Trumpet experience — a place for music, meals, conversation, time outdoors, and the moments between scheduled sessions.

A typical day moves through music, open space and activities and gathering in the evening. The structure is intentional, but never rigid.

Morning Music, up close

Enjoy daily intimate trumpet sessions led by Louis and Caleb, shaped by the people in the room rather than a rigid curriculum.

Noon Room to follow curiosity

Explore the property, take an excursion, practice, rest, or simply spend unhurried time with fellow guests and artists.
